Justin James – Producer
Justin started his film and television career in 1992 as founding partner and director/producer at Digital Alchemy Inc., an animation and visual effects studio. Through this company he co-supervised and co-directed the animation production of two episodes of DIC Entertainment’s childrens series Family Classics as well as numerous commercial spots and several animated short films.
In 1996 Justin went on to establish his own animation production company, Brainstorm Productions Inc. The company provided 3D computer animation and digital effects for numerous television series including The X-Files, Millennium and The Cold Squad. Eventually Justin shifted Brainstorm’s interests away from digital effects and into live-action production, and began producing TV commercials, short films and music video projects. Through Brainstorm Justin was also a partner in the financing and production of the CD Vista Del Mar by recording artist Kym Brown, and released by UK label Casual London.
Most recently Justin has been working as a production and development consultant for BLT Productions, the producers of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda and the miniseries A Wrinkle In Time. Justin is also serving as an Associate producer on Last Chance Cafe, a TV movie project which he helped develop at BLT Productions. Last Chance Cafe stars Kevin Sorbo (Andromeda, Hercules) and Kate Vernon (Battlestar Galatica) and is based on the best-selling novel by Linda Lael Miller, adapted by Oscar winning screenwriter Pamela Wallace (Witness, If These Walls Could Talk).
Currently Justin is attached as Co-Producer to a second TV Movie for BLT Productions, the romantic comedy Daughter Of The Bride, which is currently in post-production.
